Gravels

Gravel is crushed natural stone with angular faces, laid over a compacted base with an edge restraint so it locks together into a firm walkable surface. Four colours — marble, slate and sandstone — crushed and screened to a single clean grade with the dust removed. The colour is the stone's own, not a coating, so it does not fade. Also called stone chips, marble chips, crushed stone or decorative gravel.

Pebbles

Pebbles are naturally rounded stones used as a loose ground dressing, laid over a weed membrane rather than fixed down. Six colours in marble, granite and sandstone, each available in a natural or polished finish and sorted piece by piece for size and quality. Sold by the kilogram in 25 kg bags or jumbo bags — roughly 3 kg covers a square foot in a single layer. Also called pebble stone, garden pebbles, river pebbles or decorative stones.
