Black limestone of absolute depth.
Black limestone of absolute depth.
Interior floors, corridors, lobbies, and borders or thresholds against a paler stone. It is also the classic inlay partner — gold against black is the oldest pairing in Indian stone.
Heavy-traffic commercial entrances in mirror polish. It is limestone rather than granite, so it is softer and will show wear sooner where thousands of feet a day bring grit in. Choose leather there, or granite.
Reads as a single solid dark mass — almost no variation from a distance, which is why it works across a large surface.
Fine mineral flecking appears at arm’s length, so the surface is never flat close up.
The most changeable of the tones: flat light reads almost black, raking light picks out every edge.
Deepens toward true black and the flecking intensifies. Usually looks better wet than dry.

Stoneza — Anantay Exports Pvt. Ltd. — is a quarry-direct manufacturer, processor and exporter of Natural limestone, operating from Bhilwara, Rajasthan since 1992. We operate quarries at Bijolia, Kota and Asind alongside verified direct quarry networks across India, processing and calibrating every order through our in-house factories in Bhilwara with zero middle trader markups. We supply pan-India and export worldwide.
Send the quantity, the finish and thickness you need, and the delivery location. We come back with a firm quarry-direct quotation and a confirmed lead time. Because we quarry and process ourselves, the quotation comes from the works rather than through a trader — and we would rather quote against a real drawing than hand you an indicative range that changes later.
Kadappa Black is the quarry and trade name; Midnight Black is our name for it. The spec code is STZ-CO-MIDN-NATU. Quote the spec code on a BOQ rather than either name — the same stone is sold under several names across India, which is exactly how substitution happens on site after a specification is approved.
The stone as it comes — flat, matt and slightly open in the grain. The most economical finish and a genuinely good one: it holds grip, hides wear, and lets the material read as stone rather than as a product. Nothing is added. The slab is sawn to thickness and calibrated on the back, and the face is left as the blade or the bed produced it. Every other finish starts here. Wet grip: high — suits wet areas. Grip when wet, no glare under low sun, and it weathers into a building rather than standing apart from it.
Sweep and damp-mop. No sealing required on low-absorption stone. If it ever looks tired it can be honed or polished in place decades later.
Size: 100 × 100 MM. Thickness: 40–50 MM. Supplied loose per project requirement. Custom sizing is available on project orders — send the setting-out and we will cut to it.
Yes. At 1-2% water absorption and 2500 kg/m³ density it is exterior grade. Use a breathable impregnating sealer outdoors, never a film-forming one, and expect the stone to darken when wet — normal, and it reverses as it dries.
Yes. We export worldwide from Bhilwara with container loading, export packing and documentation handled in-house. Minimum order is project-based rather than a fixed count. For bulk and wholesale enquiries, container quantities and repeat programmes, send the schedule and we will quote FOB or CIF against it.
Yes, and we would rather you did. Ask for a wet sample as well as a dry one — every stone darkens when wet, some dramatically, and it is the one thing a photograph cannot show you.
Yes. Feature walls, stairwells, reception areas and fireplace surrounds all work, and at 18–28 mm it projects little enough not to catch shoulders in normal circulation. Indoors, sealing is optional. Light it from above or below at a shallow raking angle rather than flat from the front — a raking wash picks out the edge of every piece, which is the whole reason to use a textured stone rather than a flat one.
Tell us your expected quantity and delivery site. A Stoneza consultant will calculate quarry-direct pricing, custom lead times, and arrange physical samples.
